San Clemente, California, June 20, 2011 – 4 Star Electronics, Inc. achieves CCAP-101 Certification from the Components Technology Institute.

4 Star Electronics, Inc., an independent stocking distributor of electronic components, has continued its investment in Quality Assurance processes to ensure that its customers receive only the highest quality and most dependable parts in the industry. 4 Star's QC department is equipped with the most sophisticated counterfeit detection capabilities available, such as; X-Ray Analysis, XRF Testing, Chemical & Mechanical De-capsulation, and Electrical Testing. This, coupled with a staff of highly trained and certified counterfeit detection specialists, enabled 4 Star to demonstrate to CTI that it was capable of certifying parts to the standards set forth in the CCAP-101 Certification program.

What is the CCAP 101 Certification?

The Counterfeit Components Avoidance Program is a Training and Certification Program developed for Independent Distributors, which establishes mandatory controls, inspections, and tests for the detection and avoidance of counterfeit components. This due diligence program is mandatory for Independent Distributors to become Certified to CCAP-101 and provide their customers with CCAP-101 Certified devices.
